What happens when I hit a free-tier limit?
CutList lets you keep what you already have, but it won't let you go past 3 saved projects, 5 materials, or 10 cut-piece rows per project until you upgrade. You can still open, edit, and optimise your existing projects.
Do I need a credit card for the free tier?
No. The free calculator is anonymous — no signup at all. The Free Account tier only asks for an email. You only enter card details when you upgrade to Pro.
How do Pro and the free calculator differ?
The free calculator is a single-session tool — open it, plan up to 5 cut-piece lines and 10 total parts, then print it. Pro is the full app: persistent projects, a material library, offcut tracking, and no limits. Use the calculator for one-off cuts and Pro for ongoing workshop work.
Can I cancel Pro at any time?
Yes. Pro is managed through the Stripe self-service portal from your billing page. Cancel any time — you keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period, then revert to the free tier (your data is preserved).
How is CutList Pro priced?
CutList Pro is $7/month and priced for independent workshops, makers, and small teams. Unlimited projects, materials, and pieces from the first paid month.
